Highway radio shows 'FM Transmitter Turned Off''

Your Highway radio will not transmit over FM if it is running on batteries. For the radio to transmit it must be running on power through the USB port - powered by your vehicle’s cigarette lighter socket

If you see this message and you think the radio is running on USB power, remove any batteries from the product to test that your power lead is operating correctly. It could be that your power lead has failed and the radio is in fact running on battery power.
